Tuesday 7/28 - UP Children's Museum

We had wanted to check out the UP Children's museum while we were here. We figured it would be at least an hour or two of entertainment.
It was awesome! I cannot believe how much stuff they have in there. We spent two hours in the morning and the kids didn't even get to play with everything. They would have easily spent the whole day there.
They have live turtles, snakes and lizards. They have a whole kid size town with different shops and businesses to pretend in. An ambulance, an airplane. Live honeybees. A huge tree house. And a lot more too.
It got to be lunch time so we coaxed them out with a promise that we would come back later in the day.
Maya had not slept well at all the night before. A new place (I want my cabin bed!) combined with teething kept us awake a lot. So we both needed a nap after lunch and snuggled up in the spare bedroom. Mom wanted to check out a couple dress shops and gave Alex the option of going along or staying and playing quietly. He wanted to stay, he said if he needed anything he could always come wake me up. We were sleeping soundly and mom was gone about an hour. He never once came and got me or made any noise! Just played cars and looked at books.
As promised we went back to the museum for a few hours before supper.
