Building for Children

Tuesday we went to Appleton to the children's museum. I've tried getting there for years over spring break and every single year there was just terrible driving conditions the day we planned on going. This year we finally made it - no snow that's for sure!

Monkey Joe's and the Wildlife refuge

Sunday Maya was not feeling well so she stayed home with Grandma to sleep it off and Dad and I took Alex to Appleton to one of those inflatable play places.
Monday Maya was just fine so we all went to the Wildlife Sanctuary.

Spring Break!!

Our trip over was long. I lost track of how many times we stopped between Manistique and Escanaba because Maya thought she had to poop. Alex was not amused and I couldn't blame him. But we made it and were ready for some serious relaxing and fun.

Happy Birthday Ben!

Ben celebrated a birthday last month! Alex provided the "cha, cha, chas" for the birthday song!

Ostara (Vernal Equinox)

Usually we are just dreaming about spring when the first day of spring rolls around. This year we were LIVING it!

"Mom, I'm just ready to go crazy in here!"

That was spoken by Alex from the back seat of the car on the way home from Marquette. We were only about an hour from home but he said he just couldn't take it anymore. So we stopped at a park and ran around like crazy people for about 20 min and then continued on our way!

Marquette ~ outside

We did get some chances to go for walks, play at parks and hike to the top of Sugarloaf.

Marquette! ~ Children's Museum

The weekend of March 12th we went up to Marquette to visit Matt and Amy. Saturday the weather was not great for outdoor activities - it was chilly and there was a constant soaking mist - so we spent the day between the children's museum and the library.
