The next day we brought the kids back to the resort to watch some of the Leelanau Chase regatta. It was cold and a little windy so we didn't stay for a long time, but long enough to watch some races come in and enjoy the regatta atmosphere.

Early October 2013
My dad drove over for the weekend in early October. We went to Fountain Point Resort in Lake Leelanau to hear a talk by Daniel James Brown, the author of "The Boys in the Boat". It was a lot of fun, great presentation and fun to be around a room full of rowers again.
The next day we brought the kids back to the resort to watch some of the Leelanau Chase regatta. It was cold and a little windy so we didn't stay for a long time, but long enough to watch some races come in and enjoy the regatta atmosphere.
