Road Trippin' 2013

This summer's adventures took us south.  Along the Blue Ridge Parkway then over to Great Smokey Mountain National Park then a stop at Mammoth Caves National Park on the way home.  This was one of  the wettest road trips I can ever remember taking.  Thank goodness we had decided NOT to camp.  It would have been miserable.  As it was we had to be flexible with our plans, hike when we could, eat a lot of picnics on the car and be willing to get wet.
Our first "destination" was Grandfather Mountain on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
