Alex got a surprise when Grandma and Papa started to unpack their truck. They found Uncle Matt's old cross country skis in the attic and they are almost the right size for Alex! Just a little big but he managed quite well. Of course the first thing he wanted to do was to ski up the driveway so he could ski back down. He went up and down the driveway countless times, then around the yard and up and down the side hill for over an hour.We didn't have room to bring them home this trip but we'll have them by the end of the month - and right now we hardly have any snow left so that will give the snow time to build up again.
He caught on to the basic ideas pretty well and really enjoyed it. Uncle Matt was pretty excited to have a little skier in the family.
