Alex was fighting a cold when we got there, then tuesday Maya ran a mystery fever and was extremely lethargic. We also tried to get outside whenever we could but it was still pretty cold everyday so all of this resulted in some very tired kids. We all took big naps almost every day we were there. I don't think Alex has ever, ever napped that much and still gone to bed at a fairly normal time every night.
The wildlife sanctuary/nature center was such a big hit that we went back a second time, this time with Matt and Amy. We intended on going to the NEW Zoo that day but our big afternoon nap ran late and we couldn't make it up there with enough time before they closed.
But the nature center was just as much of a hit the second time and they still got to see animals which seemed to be the theme of the trip.
