Spring is here!

We have been doing some fun things over the past few weeks. The mom's group we belong to took the kids on a tour of the local recycling center last tuesday. All the little boys were most impressed with the bobcat that was driving around and scooping up the paper and plastic. The moms found it most interesting that our recyclables are hand sorted here in Grand Traverse County. A group of workers goes thru all the items as they pass by on a conveyor belt and takes out any trash or mis-sorted items.

Our next activity was planting the flower pots that the kids painted the week before. It was a beautiful day, thank goodness, so Johanna didn't have to worry about potting soil all over her house :) It was SO nice to sit out in the sun and just let those boys run wild around the yard after they were done with their seeds.
